Playing Tourist on the Brooklyn Bridge

I had been wanting to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge for quite awhile, as I had never done it before. The perfect cool-weather day presented itself, and my roommate and I jumped at the opportunity to finally do so! It was so crowded even on a Wednesday, but definitely worth it. After crossing the Bridge, we walked around Brooklyn Heights and got lunch at the Heights Cafe. I was so impressed with Brooklyn Heights–– I can't believe I had never ventured over before. There are so many cute restaurants and bakeries I want to try, as cliche as that sounds. I definitely plan on walking the bridge again when it gets a little colder, perhaps in the morning, as we were both sweating in the direct sunlight of the early afternoon after awhile.

I was in need of a few trendy pieces for fall, and I love the new pearl trend, especially on jeans. I saw the cutest pair at Anthropologie, but I was hesitant to splurge on them so I thought I would dip my toes into the pearl embellished style by buying an inexpensive tee with the same look. I picked one up from Zara, along with a fall-toned floral bomber jacket. I love both pieces, and I cannot wait to wear the bomber jacket with denim skirts and over the knee boots!
